Three Cheers for Chelsea….. Its Newcastle 0 Chelsea 3

Chelsea finally back on winning ways with a major away win and a good defensive clean-sheet in the Sports Direct Arena stadium with Drogba (who may leave Chelsea at the end of the season), Kalou (finally Torres showed his capabilities with a simple assist) and Sturridge (who was denied by Krul 5 times throught the match, except his last shot which went directly into the goal) were the scorers of the match.

The match started with a huge crowd support for the home team. The starting 5 minutes was controversial as Luiz, the last man, tackled from behind Ba but referee Mike Dean decided to give only a yellow card instead of red card. Newcastle fans were furious about this foul. Newcastle players were not giving Chelsea a time to think, pressing them to make mistakes in important areas. Chelsea are still fighting to get a hold of the match but the Magpies are putting up quite a fight. Sturridge earned a penalty in the 14th minute with his pace and trickery which lead to a tackle form Cabaye. Lampard decided to take the penalty and guess what??? he misses it….Holland keeper Krul making an excellent save in the left to knock out the ball from the goal. Krul is in an excellent form to remain the score 0-0. On the 18th minute, Sturridge nearly sends Chelsea ahead with his shot which slamms the right-side of the goal. The Newcastle defenders were pretty busy for the first-quarter of the match. Another terrific opportunity for Chelsea in the 23rd minute, as Mata provided a superb through-ball to Sturridge who was one-on-one with the keeper but eventually Krul saves it. Minutes after this attack, Ba flicked the ball which was send by Lovenkrands just towards the roof of the goal but Petr Cech making an excellent reflexive save to keep the ball out of the goal. 10 minutes after Newcastle’s effort, they came close as they struck the woodwork the second time. Ba’s header is deflected by the pole and then reaches Terry who tries to clear but hits Luiz and out it goes for a corner. 39th minute Chelsea earned a throw-in and Mata after receiving the ball, quickly delivered a cross to Drogba whose powerful header was unstoppable by Krul from seven yards. Its a GOAL for Chelsea and its Newcastle 0 Chelsea 1.

Sturridge is again denied by Krul in the 41st minute with a pass from Lampard he hit the ball low with Krul making a good save. First-half finished pretty unpredictable score with Newcastle 0 Chelsea 1. Second-half started with Chelsea firing a shot on target on the 53rd minute with Ivanovic cross finds Drogba who blasts the ball into side-netting. A poor defending by Jay Simpson. OFF THE BAR AGAIN!!! Drogba breathes a site of relief as he directs the Newcastle corner into his on goal-post. while on the other hand, that ball reaches Chelsea’s Sturridge and with his lightning speed he moves forward and gives a through to Ramires who gets his shot away but is beautifully saved by Krul. Its a huge sigh of relief for Newcastle fans. 60 minutes on the clock, Chelsea made their first substitution with Lampard coming out and Meireles coming in. The England midfielder didn’t looked very happy with his substitution. Just then Ba’s shot is saved by Ashley Cole whose brave defending cleared the ball. A good chance for Mat as Sturridge shows some great footwork and rolls it to Mata whose shot is just wide of the Krul’s left-post. Terry clears the ball off the line!! Cech fails to collect the ball and taking this advantage, the 21 year old Sami Ameobi’s shot from the left side of the box was denied by Terry from a goal-line save. It has been a tensed 75 minutes with Chelsea seemed to be winning. Chelsea introduce Torres with Drogba going the other way. OFF THE POST AGAIN?? Simpson lashing the ball forward with Shola Ameobi collecting it and hammering the ball into the edge of the box beating Cech in the 81 minute. Finally, late substitute Kalou scores for Chelsea making it 2-0 in the final 89th minute. Kalou easily got a shot on goal with Torres the constructor.

Newcastle look defeated now with 4 minutes left in the stoppage time. It will be their second defeat of the season. Minutes after the second Chelsea goal Sturridge’s shot who finally made it across Krul who denied him 5 times during the match made it 3-0 for Chelsea. he slammed the ball from his left foot into the bottom right corner of the Newcastle net. Final wistle its Newcastle 0 Chelsea 3. Chelsea are now ahead of Newcastle in the points table with 28 points behind Tottenham.
