Chelsea 3 Valencia 0

Chelsea finally won to reach in the final 16 with a do or die clash with Valencia. Three easy goals from Ramires and a brace from Drogba secured an easy win. Chelsea are regaining its form with 3-0 win over Newcastle and 3-0 win against Valencia.

It was a dream start for Chelsea with first shot on goal within 1 minute. Drogba who holds off Ruiz places a perfect ball to the advancing Meireles whose 20 yard cueling shot was easy for the keeper to hold. Its a GOAL for Chelsea within 2 minutes. A cross from Sturridge from the right was beautifully trapped by Mata and then placed it to Drogba, who did the finishing part. A great finish and a dream start for Chelsea. Valencia didn’t gave up! Alba gets past Sturridge easily into the box and his left-footed shot rattled the woodwork and went for a throw. A fine shot by him from a narrow angle. Chelsea were laid back in terms of possession with Chelsea 34% and Valencia 66%. What a cracking game. They SCORED. Its Chelsea 2 Valencia 0 inside the first 25 minutes. Drogba, the constructor runs aggressively through the middle and finally giving a through pass towards Ramires whose slight hope of scoring was diminished with a mistake from Ruiz and he places it beautifully into the near side corner. What a great start for Chelsea! Valencia’s Feghouli replied with a decent effort from 25 yards but denied by Cech who makes a smart save. Chelsea were in a brink of 3-0 at 29 minute when Mata’s inch perfect pass reaches Sturridge who with his speed and pace unleashed a solo shot which was then deflected by Alves out to corner, while Meireles and Ramires was still shouting for the pass. Its half-time and with a two goal lead, Chelsea are defending in numbers making it difficult for Valencia. Till now Valencia have majority of possession but failing to convert it into numbers on the score-board.

The second-half stated with no changes from the either side. Valencia came close to score when Saldado’s cross in the 62nd minute was just tipped over the cross-bar by Cech. A decent save by him. So close! 63 minutes on and Feghouli takes a shot between Luiz and Terry and Cech making a sensational save and putting it out for corner. It couldn’t get any close for Chelsea! Drogba in the 73 minute out muscled Ruiz leaving him in the ground and with one-on-one with the keeper he tries for the far corner but the shot just goes wide and out of target. Couple minutes after, there’s the GOAL for Chelsea. Mata again the provider of the first goal again gave a delightful through ball for Drogba which splits the defense and with one-on-one with the keeper, he didn’t fail this time and scored with a simple flick from his left foot making it 3-0. Chelsea were now comfortably sitting now and time did it all. Hernandez tries to test Cech with two quick long-shot in the 81st minute, but Cech saves it without a fuss. Its full-time in Stamford Bridge with Chelsea 3 Valencia 0 and while Chelsea place a ticket to the knockout stages as they stand as group winners. AVB is  exonerated all the blame surrounding him. Its a bright day for all Chelsea fans and the other match of the group Bayer Leverkusen vs Genk its 1-1 with Derdiyok and Vossen scoring for their team respectively.
