Background:

The German took charge of Borussia Dortmund in 2008, where the German team had finished prior to his appointment in a lowly 13th place in the Bundesliga.

In his first season Dortmund defeated the mighty Bayern Munich in the DFB Super cup. Klopp guided Dortmund to a very respectable finish of 5th in his first season and then 6th in his second. The 2011/2011 and 2011/2012 seasons not only saw Klopp guide Dortmund to back to back titles domestically but the 81 points taken by Dortmund in the 2011/2012 season was the highest seen by any Bundesliga team. In May 2012 Klopp’s Dortmund  made history by winning their first ever domestic double, defeating Bayern Munich 5-2 in the DFB-Pokal.

Style or steel?

Klopp has not only managed to produce winning football with his Dortmund side but he has also managed to produce beautiful football.
