John Obi Mikel has admitted he is set to leave Chelsea this summer and complete a transfer to Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants have been increasingly linked with a move for Mikel in recent weeks, having reportedly made him their top transfer target.
And in a week when Jose Mourinho is believed to have told the 26-year-old Nigeria international he has no future at Stamford Bridge, Mikel has confirmed he is on the cusp of leaving for Galatasaray.
‘I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it’s now time for me to leave,’ Mikel told Sabah.
‘I’m still only 26 and it’s great to receive an offer from a club [Galatasaray] playing Champions League football and doing well in the competition.’
