Kevin De Bruyne and Andre Schurrle on target as Chelsea beat AC Milan to set up grudge match with Real Madrid


Chelsea continued their preparations for the new season with an encouraging 2-0 win over AC Milan at the Guinness International Champions Cup in New Jersey.

Kevin De Bruyne and new signing Andre Schurrle netted in either half to book the Blues a place in the final against Jose Mourinho’s former club Real Madrid on Wednesday in Miami.

Belgian winger De Bruyne first had a 19th-minute effort ruled out for offside before the 22-year-old side-footed in the opener nine minutes later after being set up by Eden Hazard.

Chelsea continued to enjoy the better chances in the second half but former Bayer Leverkusen forward Schurrle volleyed him a Victor Moses pass in injury time to wrap up the win.
